Neighbourhood Plan
Consultation
A Neighbourhood Plan represents the views of the people who live in the area. Its authority stems from the consultation with villagers. The Working Party creating The Plan organised many events, across the village to make sure everyone could get involved.
Below, you will find the result of 18 consultation opportunities, organised within The Big Conversation, that underpin the Plan. The Big Conversation Report which rounds up and analyses everything everyone said.

Policy Ideas Exhibition & Conversation
What should go in the plan?
Over the autumn, The Big Conversation and Neighbourhood Plan Working Party will write the first draft of the Neighbourhood Plan - and they want to make sure they represent what everyone thinks before they start.

At this event we will:
-
present the themes of The Big Conversation consultation since September 2018 under these headings: Housing, Getting About, Working and Shopping, Community, Recreation, Wellbeing and The Natural Environment
-
feedback the headlines from the Housing Needs Survey
-
suggest potential principles - and sites - for development
-
make suggestions for how these all translate into objectives and policies for the Neighbourhood Plan
-
make suggestions for other ideas people have suggested for the village (that lie outside the remit of the Plan itself)

And invite your comments and suggestions

Oak House and The Primary School
March 2019
The Big Conversation is about everyone in the village having the opportunity to say what they think about how we can make this an even better place to live - and to shape its future. And that means involving the children.

Stutton School will be involved in lots of ways, throughout the process of building a Neighbourhood Plan. Here you can see the results of a fabulous morning of talking and (painting), when we focused on "What should new houses look like", "Where should they be built" and "Is there anything more we can do to look after this beautiful place we live".

Consultation 1
The Big Tea Party

22 September 2018 Village Hall

Almost unanimous vote to go ahead with creating a Neighbourhood Plan
There was a great turnout for The Big Tea Party event on Saturday 22 September. The hall looked lovely - decorated with imaginative ways to 'have your say' and pretty tea tables were laden with delicious cakes. There was also a children's area.

Everyone was met at the door and invited to write ideas about the future of Stutton under the three headings provided by the Neighbourhood Planning structure - Environment, Social and Economic. There was also a Rant Wall where villagers could ... have a rant.

After tea, Mark Nowers, Chair of the Big Conversation Working Party spoke about the pros and cons of creating a Neighbourhood Plan =- and about what's involved.

The event finished with a show of hands: 'Do you want Stutton to have a Neighbourhood Plan?' The feeling was overwhelmingly in favour.
